Amoung Throckmorton's many accomplishments in medicine, the sign that bears his name carries the greatest legacy. Just as his radiographic sign has helped many a trauma surgeon and ER physician rapidly identify a serious medical problem, it is hoped that his other signs will alert the voting public of other things that are seriously wrong with our medical and legal systems.

Non-union
I was just sitting at home listening to all the talk about the Wisconsin teachers union and how many democrat politicians are all about the rights of unions and collective bargaining. I was wondering then, why is it not legal for physicians to form a union? For that matter, if we as physicians form too large of a group, the Feds force us to break up. Here is something. I am a teacher ( in a medical school). Does that mean I can join a union?
Well ...if you could ..you'd get some good perks. :)
ReplyDeleteThrockmorton, my PCP recently closed his practice - could not make a profit. I will stop myself now or you'll get a "War and Peace" comment. :(
A group that has 25 physicians is taking over ...although in April ..it will be one woman from my doc's office. Keeping same staff. So some continuity. Not sure what I will do as yet. Guess give the new doc a chance, but am also checking on WOM in my area.
