I had heard a medical tall tale of newborns who were given medical names their mothers had heard.  The classic is FEMALEm(fee-mal-ee) because the baby had already been named.  There is also a little girl named Meconium and another named Placenta.

I no longer doubt these names because I have just taken care of SirClage.

You have no idea how much I needed a laugh and I'm even surprised something made me laugh ...but I did.

Thanks! :)

Oh ..your post reminds me of a joke I heard once ...but can't repeat. Basically, why certain group of people had certain kinds of names and reason is because the baby is named by the first thing they see when the baby is born. It was funny. :)

Poor kids tho - especially Meconium. Hope it won't be generational. What were the parents thinking?!

I can't imagine not looking up the meaning before choosing a baby's name.
